New Public Safety Dashboard continues CapMetro’s commitment to transparency

We are excited to share exciting improvements to our Public Safety dashboard, as CapMetro remains committed to providing data transparency and accessibility.  On Monday, April 21st, the Enterprise Data Analytics Platform project team officially launched the PublicSafety Dashboard, which provides accessible, up-to-date information on key safety metrics. This dashboard is available on our website, CapMetro.org in the existing performance dashboards section.

The key enhancements to the dashboard include:

  • Established well-defined data elements aligned with specific criteria from the National Transit Database (NTD) and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA)
  • Streamlined internal dashboard review and approval process
  • Enhanced dashboard design featuring intuitive navigation, clear visual cues, and interactive elements
  • Consistent user experience with uniform user interface as the newest public Ridership, Reliability, Finance, and Route Performance dashboards
  • Significant accessibility improvements with the ability to understand the data as a graph or table

This enhanced dashboard is crafted to provide the users and stakeholders with even deeper insights into key metrics and performance indicators. By making this information publicly available, the dashboard supports informed decision-making, encourages public engagement, and reinforces the agency’s commitment to a safe and reliable transportation system.
