Welcome to On Track, a monthly update where I’ll share insights about CapMetro’s initiatives and perspectives on the issues shaping mobility in Central Texas. As we celebrate our 40th year of operation in 2025, staying connected with our partners and stakeholders, and keeping both informed, becomes increasingly important.
Each month, I’ll provide updates on our progress, share thoughts on transit policy and legislation, and highlight opportunities for collaboration. From Project Connect developments to service improvements, you’ll get an inside look at how we’re working to keep Austin moving forward.
Looking ahead, 2025 brings exciting milestones: we are going to adopt Transit Plan 2035, launch the Pleasant Valley and Expo Center MetroRapid routes this spring, expand Pickup service to Decker and Colony Park neighborhoods, begin construction of our North Operations Facility, expanding our electric fleet operations, and advance key Project Connect initiatives. These projects reflect our commitment to delivering reliable, sustainable transit solutions for our growing community.
