Meet CapMetro – Sondra Williams, Customer Care Supervisor

Meet Sondra Williams, our dedicated Customer Care Supervisor who’s been with CapMetro for over 16 years.

Her journey into public transit began as an Austin bus rider who received the opportunity to become a representative for CapMetro’s new Rapid and Rail service back in 2008. “This job actually just fell into my lap,” Williams says.

Sondra spends 90% of the day working with her team to ensure CapMetro provides the best service possible for our customers. A typical day begins with sharing information across departments to make sure that no changes or updates to service impact the customer experience. Around the clock, Sondra and her team speak with inquiring customers and take every step possible to help them get answers to their most vital questions.

Outside of customer care, her passions are cooking, reading and spending time with family. She loves playing basketball and volleyball, too. Sondra’s ideal weekend includes having quality time with loved ones and repurposing old family recipes to create something new. And her hot take? All the Star Wars prequels are overrated! She says many of these new films have started to take the luster away from the original trilogy.
